I AM VERY HAPPY =DDDDDDDDDDDD

So, I met Sederick after school today. I was worn out, frustrated and a bit pissed at my ignorance in today's CA.

When I walk into his house, Sed says, "Close your eyes! I'm going to give you your christmas present!"

It was about time, I thought to myself. I've been bugging him about it all of last week, and prob all of last year. Every time I ask him what it is, he says he can't tell me. When I ask when I'm going to get it, he's all "I can't give it to you know. You'll understand when I give it to you."

Anyweyz, I closed my eyes. He pulled me to his desk area and he asked me to open up my peeper.

I called it Patapon. =D After the game. It's just as adorable! I'm thinking of getting a mate for it, cuz I've read in forums that they like playing with one another.

I'm just so estatic about my Patapon (I've been dreaming about owning a hamster for a while, but my Mum just said no). He's so cute! =D Thank you, Baby! You ROCK!

I went out with Daph Beloved and Vee Sweetheart yesterday. Vee's cousin came along too. She has a real, authentic Juicy bag! Makes my fake one from Manila commit suicide in shame. We had uber fun!

Went to CheezeBox after cuz I was thirsty and Daph needed a place to write xmas cards. Ended up playing Geo challenge as well.

We wanted to take a random trip to the beach after our tea. We asked Jase along.

We wanted to go to Berakas Beach. We kept driving and driving... and somehow, we ended up at Jerudong. Jerudong Park is a theme park that was a gem back in the day, but due to nearly no maintenance and neglect, it's all dilapidated now. Good for reminiscing though. It used to be free! Now, you have to pay $5.

Quite tired now, so a really brief summary of the week.

Weds after school, ZX, Jo and I went to the Jurong Swimming Complex at Chinese Gardens. It's so fab man. Had so much fun! But I pretty much dieded after 3 hours. So exhausting. I got sun burnt too =( We took a video there.

Friday was the long awaited SIZZLER OUTING! YAYY!!!! It was so fab! The all-you-can-eat salad bar was to die for. I ate millions of particles of ice-cream. Participants include ZX, Jo and I. Sederick came later, but Ger pang seh us =/

Sat was Sylvia's wedding. It was at the church right opposite my school! Like walking distance. It was a really romantic and intimate wedding. Something I would like my own to be someday.

At night, Sed and I went out with his friends. We went to his friend's bar at ChinaTown. I had the most enjoyable time, ever =)

Tied up and humiliated on birthday

Is this simply a case of a birthday celebration gone too far?

An enraged STOMPer came across a video of a group of Anglo-Chinese Junior College (ACJC) students hazing a female student in school, on her birthday.

In the video, the unwilling victim, clad in her uniform top and skirt, is tied to a chin-up bar by her "friends". They then proceed to smear her face and clothes with cake and pour chocolate milk over her head, all the while laughing amongst themselves, disregarding the girl's pleas for them to stop. At one point, the resigned birthday girl is seen breaking down in tears.

Says the STOMPer, who contributed the story under the pseudonym, "outraged": "Chocolate milk and foreign substances stuffed into clothing is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I am very enraged by this act." "There is no way the victim is enjoying this."

The final insult? The footage of the "celebration", posted on a popular online video-sharing channel, was tagged with the word, "loser".

"What kind of birthday celebration is this", wondered the STOMPer, disturbed by the footage.

The cruelty that the students demonstrated as well as the blatant disregard for the feelings of another human being is indeed appalling. At one point in the video, a fellow female student is seen trying to free the victim. However, another student immediately shoved her hand away to stop her.

"Outraged" continues, "Although birthday pranks are generally harmless and for the intent of everyone having a good time, this has clearly gone overboard."

Not only were the students, both male and female, guilty of participating in her humiliation, teachers apparently do not think such actions warrant concern as well. A staff member is shown in the video admonishing the students, not for humiliating the girl, but for making a mess of the place.

"Outrage" hopes the matter will be looked into, and that school rules be revised in order to ensure the safety of students.

Are such incidents harmless fun or an excuse to inflict torture and humiliation on others? Other reports on ragging incidents have appeared in the news recently.
